Abstract

Abstract The leptonic sector is studied in the context of a scheme proposed to explain fermion mass hierarchy from radiative corrections. In the charged leptonic sector, the masses obey a pattern m τ : m μm : m e ⋍ 1:γ:γ 2, where γ is the loop expansion parameter. A pair of isosinglet heavy fermions plays an important role in generating mass hierarchy. In the neutrino sector, ϱ τ acquires a small mass due to the seesaw mechanism induced from the heavy fermions while ϱ μm and ϱ e do so from radiative corrections.
