Abstract

Abstract 1. 1. Comparative studies of octopamine sensitive adenylate cyclase in the brain of gregarious and solitary forms of the locust Locusta migratoria cinerascens at different larval and adult ages show that the enzymic activity differs between both forms except at the time of ecdysis. 2. 2. This study points the way to a new understanding of the gregarious effect at the neurobiological level.
