Abstract

Abstract ( R)-1-Arylallyl alcohols were obtained with excellent enantioselectivities via kinetic resolution of the corresponding acetates using immobilized Candida antarctica lipase. The scope and limitations of this reaction were investigated. The best results are obtained using the water/acetonitrile solvent system, and the reaction tolerates a variety of aryl and heteroaryl substituents.
