Analysis of Financial Performance on Public Companies in Jakarta Stock Exchange Using Economic Value Added Approach Cipta Budiman This study is intended to analysis financial performance of public companies in jakarta stock exchange (JSX) based on the investor and creditor point of view, particularly those who has long term interest. Taking sample is conducted purposively. The data used in this analysis is obtained from financial report of emitent of JSX which has been audited by public consultant. Tools of analysis used in this study are ROI, EVA, MVA and coefficient of Pearson Moment Correlation. In this regard, the result of ROI, value calculation show that the whole companies studied have good financial performance. However, after calculating the EVA value, there are only four companies which have really good financial performance. In this case, EVA and ROI are corelated significantly positive. It meant that ROI and EVA are the same indikator, but EVA is more completed. Thus, it is suggested to any investor who will make along term invesment to use the standart of EVA value obtained. In addition, the investor should also observe the trend of EVA, and use MVA to predict the future performance. While the investor expected capital gain limitedly, he can use the ROI as the standart.
