Abstract

Abstract In order to establish a commercial resource for arabinoxylans, three Tibetan hull-less barley brans were studied for monosaccharide composition and arabinoxylans content. There are five sugars including mannose, galactose, glucose, xylans and arabinose in the bran. The arabinoxylans content is 14.21%, 18.18% and 21.06%, respectively. The ratio of arabinose to xyloses is 0.83, 0.76, 0.58.
