Abstract

Domestic kidnappings are abductions by or on behalf of an individual with whom the victim has or had a familial or romantic relationship. Chapter 3 explores the victimology, offender characteristics, abductions sites, modus operandi, and outcomes typically associated with this crime. The Chapter also explores dynamics that are correlated with domestic kidnappings, including domestic violence and stalking.
