Abstract

Abstract The interface described in this paper allows a MUBUS compatible microcomputer to control a linear optical CCD array and to get access to the measurement made by the CCD array. The main idea is to take advantage of the clocking sequence necessary to drive the CCD to derive the signals required to perform direct memory access. This design philosophy leads to a very simple and efficient structure. To take full advantage of the possibilities of this system of number of software packages for a MT 6800 micro-processor have been developed.
