Abstract

Abstract A theoretical and experimental study has been made of condensation equilibrium in the PCA-water-amide system at 225°, over the range of concentrations of the regulators from 1 to 2 mole %. Equations were obtained for calculation of the equilibrium degree of polymerization of PCA in relation to the concentrations of water and of the amide requlators, which were added to the monomer before polymerization. The applicability of these equations was verified experimentally.
