Abstract

Abstract 1. 1. Cellular acetyl-CoA and long-chain acyl-CoA in Tetrahymena pyriformis diminish during the early stationary phase of population growth. 2. 2. The long-chain fraction recovers slightly as the population ages further. 3. 3. These changes coincide with metabolic events observed by other workers and are not cyclic.
