Abstract

Abstract We have measured the transmission spectra in the infrared range (1000–6000 cm −1) of several thin films YBaCuO/MgO as a function of temperature: we show that the temperature dependence of the transmission between 90 K and 300 K is consistent with a linear variation of the carrier scattering rate with temperature. Our results appear in quantitative agreement with the marginal Fermi liquid (MFL) theory.
