Abstract

Abstract Perfusion of canine renal allografts with sheep antistreptococcal membrane antibodies produces a nephrotoxic nephritis characterized by markedly hypercellular and swollen glomeruli containing polymorphonuclear leukocytes and fragmented cells and varying degrees of renal tubular degeneration. The type of nephritis induced is similar to that induced by antibodies resulting from immunization of a heterologous host with canine renal tissues.
