Abstract

Abstract Inhibitors of restriction endonucleases and other enzymes are found in large quantities in λ phage solutions prepared by growth on agar plates. Chromatography on Sepharose-6B column of the phage suspension will eliminate these inhibitors. The DNA extracted from this purified phage suspension is suitable for genetic manipulations in vitro.
