Abstract

Abstract For the complexity and application diversity of medical CT image, this article presents a medical CT Image enhancing algorithm based on Gaussian Scale Mixture Model for wavelet coefficient in the study of wavelet multi-scale analysis. The noisy image is firstly denoised in auto-adapted Wiener filter. Secondly, through the qualitative analysis and classification of wavelet coefficients for the signal and noise, the wavelet's approximate distribution and statistical characteristics are described, combining GSM(Gaussian scale mixture) model for wavelet coefficient in this paper. It is shown that this algorithm can improve the denoised result and enhanced the medical CT image obviously.
