Abstract

Abstract Genetic factors are highly influential on many aspects of adolescence, including behavior and development. However, genetic influences are complex, interdependent, and impacted by the environment. In this article, we will first introduce technical concepts central to the study of complex genetic traits. We then discuss some of the central questions being addressed by the field of genetics today, particularly as they pertain to adolescent outcomes.
