Abstract

Abstract Radiation technologies applicable to environmental conservation have been promoting extensive interest in many countries, and recently much attention has been paid to their application combined with other methods, in particular ozonation. In this paper we would like to offer some remarks on applying certain dedicated radiation technologies to the treatment of industrial waste, with major attention to (1) basic research on kinetic studies and product analyses; (2) the combination with methods that can efficiently reduce the absorbed dose required for the radiation treatment; (3) new technologies whose application can significantly minimize the output of industrial waste.
