Abstract

Abstract The variation of structure and transport properties for the nominal composition of Y 0.8Ca 0.2Ba 1.8La 0.2Cu 3O y (YCBLC) at temperature range of 78 K<T<288 K were studied. YCBLC shows a superconducting transition temperature of T c∼83 K. There is no phase transition detected in the accuracy of our experiments in the whole temperature range. The dependences of lattice constants upon temperature can be discussed in three temperature regions. The other atomic parameters, or deduced structural parameters, such as the orthorhombic strain, the lattice strain, some selected bond lengths and bond angles all depend on temperature. They all can be divided into three temperature regions. The dependences of the atomic structural parameters on temperature indicate that these atomic structural parameters may play a role on the superconductivity to some extent.
