Abstract

Abstract Microsurgery helps to improve our results because: 1. 1. Intraneural neurolysis is safer. 2. 2. Differentiation between normal and pathological tissue is easier. 3. 3. The technique is less traumatic. Magnification does not solve the problem. It is of benefit only if tension is absolutely avoided. Exact fascicular approximation is achieved with minimal manipulation and minimal use of foreign material. It is necessary to change our mind and to leave our more or less mechanical thinking in favour of a more biological approach.
