Abstract

Summary The reaction of the ewe-abortion organism to various therapeutic agents was tested in the chick-embryo. It was slightly susceptible to the action of sulphathiazole and penicillin, but re sistant to the action of streptomycin, p-aminobenzoic acid and sulphone (4: 4' diaminodiphenyl sulphone). Certain of these reactions support the view that the organism belongs to the psittacosis-lymphogranuloma group. Chloromycetin, aureomycin and terramycin were more active than any of the foregoing agents.
