Abstract

Abstract Neutron irradiation effect (fission damage) of ferromagnetic β-U 2N 3, which showed a strange temperature dependence of the electrical resistivity near the magnetic transition, was investigated by measurements of the magnetization and electrical resistivity at low temperature. A discussion was made on the induced change in the magnetic parameters and shift of the four “characteristic” temperatures due to fission damage.
