Abstract

Abstract Unit step response and frequency response functions are shown to provide useful information to model and understand the watershed runoff-sediment yield process. One of the applications of the unit step response is to rank watersheds for their sediment production potentials. The frequency response function is used to indicate the memory content of the watershed runoff-sediment yield system.
