Influence of temperature on nucleon structure functions

Abstract

Abstract A simple statistical approach is performed to calculate the nucleon structure functions F2 and xF3 in the kinematic range 0.05<x<0.95 and 1<Q2<125 GeV2 by considering the effect of temperature on nucleon radius and mass simultaneously. The role of change in mass and radius with temperature in estimating the nucleon structure function is analyzed. The results show that these effects are significant and the change in effective mass of nucleon affects the structure function about two times greater than that of change in radius.
