Abstract

Forensic evidence was used to investigate a series of armed robberies, and in the subsequent successful corroboration of the evidence of a resident informant or supergrass. The importance of correct packaging and documentation of exhibits from many scenes in different police areas is stressed and the value of liaison between police investigators, scenes of crime personnel and scientists is considered.
