Abstract

Abstract The 27Al(α, p) 30Si reaction has been studied at three bombarding energies, 26.2, 26.45 and 26.7 MeV. Angular distributions for states populated in 30Si have been compared with the HauserFeshbach theory and DWBA calculations to determine the reaction mechanism and to deduce spectroscopic information. The results of this analysis indicate high-spin selectivity in the 27Al(α, p) 30Si reaction.
