V CHEMISTRY & CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY Vol. 6, No. 4, 2012 Events Mohamed Bakar VIIth POLISH-UKRAINIAN SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE "POLYMERS OF SPECIAL APPLICATIONS" ã Bakar M., 2012 The VIIth Polish-Ukrainian Scientific Conference "Polymers of Special Applications" was held on September 23-25, 2012 in Poland (Świeta Ktarzyna – Kielce region). It was organized by the Department of Polymer Chemistry and Technology (Kazimierz Pułaski Technical University of Radom, Poland), the Department of Macromolecular Chemistry (National Kiev Taras Schevchenko University, Ukraine), the Department of High-Molecular Compounds (Ukrainian State Chemical Technology University, Ulraine) and Lviv Polytechnic National University (Ukraine). The main objective of the Conference was the exchange of experiences between researchers of different institutions of Ukraine and Poland as well as to allow graduate students to enlarge their knowledge in the field of polymer science and technology. Several scientific works (27 oral presentations and about 50 posters) related with the following fields were presented: · Synthesis of monomers for special polymers. · Special polymer synthesis and testing of their properties. · Modification and application of polymers. · Modern polymeric composite materials.
