Abstract

Abstract In the paper the magnetic-field influence upon the S and L components of SO 2 fluorescence is studied under 3080 Å excitation. The magnetic field affects both the amplitudes and the lifetimes of the two components. A model is outlined for qualitative description of the results obtained.
