Abstract

Roentgenograms of the chest were obtained on 76 children with acute glomerulonephritis. Abnormalities were found in 65 roentgenograns. These included cardiomegaly in 47 (62 per cent), prominent pulmonary vasculature in 56 (74 per cent), pleural fluid in 42 (55 per cent), and pulmonary edema in 25 (33 per cent). The roentgen findings in the chest, although not pathognomonic, may occasionally be of diagnostic value.
