Abstract

Abstract Tetrasomy 8 is a rare form of acquired aneuploidy found exclusively in the myeloid leukemias. Hexasomy 8 is even rarer: only one case has been reported, thus far. We describe here the second case of hexasomy 8 as the sole abnormality in an elderly female patient with myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS).
