Abstract

Abstract Two different c.m. treatments are used to investigate the c.m. effects on the core-polarization contribution to the two-body effective interaction. It is shown that the two treatments give very similar and sizable effects, which leads to the conclusion that the “essentially zero result” for the core-polarization contribution found in previous works is unambiguously due to the c.m. effects.
