The web site is hosted by the International Network for the Availability of Scientific Publications (INASP) which is based in Oxford and its work focuses on communication, knowledge and networks, with particular emphasis on the needs of developing and emerging countries. Sri Lankan journals are among Bangladesh, Nepal, Philippines and Vietnam journals in the region which are hosted by INASP. Currently there are 13 Sri Lankan Journals, both medical and non medical on the web site. SLJOL was launched in 2008 and we joined it in late 2008, and currently our journals of June 2008 and January 2009 are online. It uses the Open Journals System and allows the participating journals to control their own area within the website and thereby load, edit and update their own journal information. The SLJOL provides a. international visibility for our journal and the other Sri Lankan journals b. international exposure for Sri Lankan research c. increased submissions to journals d. easier record keeping and processing and e. links to related information To those who are interested as researchers and authors to journals on the web site it offers to you the ability to submit your articles online. This enables the editors to subject the submitted article to a peer review process through the web site to local or international reviewers. Communications of the reviewer with the author is facilitated through the web site and finally the articles selected for the next issue of the journal can be organised and uploaded. To the author and researcher it also provides access to reputable peer reviewed journals, sophisticated searching facilities, access to abstracts free of charge and links to online full text ar
