Abstract

Abstract The present work deals with two types of precise structures of quadrupole mass analyzer electrodes developed in the USSR. It is shown that the structures ensure high-precision fixing of circular section electrodes as well as electrodes with a hyperbolic working profile. A review of their advantages and limitations is given and parameters obtained by utilization of these structures in quadrupole mass spectrometers commercially produced in the USSR are presented.
