Abstract

Abstract SANS measurements on Fe-34 at.% Ni after irradiation with 2 MeV protons at 625°C show a significant intensity increase with respect to a sample quenched from 1000°C. The excess intensity, which follows a Q -4 behaviour, results from concentration and magnetization fluctuations of spatial extension being larger than 220 nm, indicating phase separation at 625°C in contradiction to the known thermodynamic phase diagram.
