Publisher Summary In a table that shows a sum of all pairs and their reciprocals together with a result set showing only one entry per pair, there is no trouble getting rows with reciprocals added together with a self-join, but the problem arises with the duplicate rows. This chapter deals with this problem and explains how structured query language (SQL) helps to create a table that helps in rectifying this issue.
