Abstract

Abstract The molar specific heat of CuCl was measured in the temperature range of 5–155°K. Comparison is made to the calculated specific heat derived from a lattice dynamical model based on the shell model. Comparison is made also between the experimental and calculated Debye temperatures. There is an agreement below 95°K and anharmonic effects become noticeable above 95°K.
