The thesis seeks to analyze the leisure time centres in Klatovy and the surrounding area. The introductory part focuses on the leisure time theory and the specific features of leisure time. The options to finance state-funded and non-profit organizations are also described. In the research part some basic schools in Klatovy are presented and briefly characterized along with their in-school and out-school leisure time activities. The thesis also presents certain institutions which organize the leisure time for children and teenagers. The thesis deals in greater detail with the Children and Youth Institute in Klatovy and the Voluntary Firemen Association in Mala Viska. These institutions have been assessed on the basis of strategic analyses of both their external and internal environment. The final part examines whether the leisure time institutions in the Klatovy area fulfil their mission.
