Negative muon spin rotation in YBa2Cu3Ox(x=7, 6.5 and 6)

Abstract

Abstract By negative muon spin rotation method (μ −SR) the paramgnetic shiftsof muonic oxygen, K μ- , have been measured in the paramagnetic phase of YBa 2Cu 3O 6; K μ− is 4.6±1.9×10 −4 at 500 K and 8.7±1.7×10 −4 at 550 K. In the normal state of the superconducting YBa 2Cu 3O 7, GdBa 2Cu 3O 6.5 K μ-'s have not been determined due to a very fast μ- spin relaxation time, T ★ 2. This μ- SR results in stoichiometric YBa 2Cu 3O x makes a contrast with those in doped superconductor La 2−xSr xCuO 4−δ, which T ★ 2 do not show any drastic change in superconducting and insulating phases.
