Publisher Summary Cytostatic agents recognized for cardiotoxicity such as doxorubicin, idarubicin, mitozantrone, mitomycin C, amsaerine, cisplatin and 5-fluorouracil, and other drugs have been examined in this chapter. Some other drugs such as vindesine, platinum compounds, doxorubicin, and other drugs for ocular toxicity are also examined. methotrexate, cytarabine, ifosfamide, ciclosporin, cisplatin and other drugs have been examined for neurotoxicity. Cisplatin and carboplatin, ifosfamide and cyciophosphamide, and other drugs have been examined for nephrotoxicity. Azathioprine, methotrexate have been examined for hepatotoxicity. Hematological toxicity, dermatological toxicity and hypersensitivity have been examined in cyclosphosphamide, mitomycin C, teniposide, procarbazine, and anthracyelines. Endocrine toxicity has been examined in ciclosporin. Ototoxicity, bladder toxicity, gastrointestinal toxicity, muscle toxicity, bone toxicity, reproductive and genetic toxicity, toxicity due to multi-drug treatment, and miscellaneous forms of toxicity have been described in the chapter. Cytokinins like recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor, recombinant human granulocyte macrophage colony-stimulating factor, recombinant interleukin-2, and interferons have been explained in the chapter.
