Abstract

Abstract This article describes the author's long ordeal after contracting multi-drugresistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) from a patient in the hospital where she works. The struggle to win the battle with MDR-TB took her to a hospital far from home where she underwent surgery. In addition to physical pain, the author had to also endure frustration, depression, and loneliness.
