Abstract

Views of the normative ordering of everyday life. As in the case of Ch. Kourilsky's article, the author bases herself on the data of the comparative study on juridical socialization, in pre-adult years, which was undertaken in 1987-1988 ; she offers an analysis of views of the concept of private law among children and adolescents in Poland. This leads her to the conclusion that communist ideology's effort to inculcate the notion of collective ownership has been a failure. At the same time, the progressive deterioration of order in everyday life under the socialist regime has brought about a "destruction of social norms", in particular, within the framework of juridical socialization, a change in the view that the individual has of himself as the possessor of rights. The author puts forward the theory that this self-image could be reborn through the idea of the rights of individual ownership which have remained firmly implanted in the individual consciousness.
