Abstract

Abstract An electrode potential study of eighteen Al-Bi-Ga alloys has been conducted with the cell: Al / Al 3+ in LiCl + KCl / Al in Bi-Ga in the temperature range 623 K – 1223 K. These measurements gave us aluminium partial mixing functions and phase boundaries. The later results were confirmed by D.T.A. experiments and allow to propose the shape of the ternary miscibility gap.
