Abstract

Abstract Oxidation of polypropyleneketone by molecular oxygen in the range 80–190°C has been investigated. The rate of oxygen consumption decreases with increasing temperature in the range 140–180°C. Reaction involves mainly the zones of short-range order violation comprising about 11% of the polymer. Mechanisms of the phenomena are discussed.
