Abstract

Abstract. — This apparently commonplace small chamber-tomb was deliberately built on top of a natural rift, which was then used to house the remains. In the mound was found an arrangement of limestone blocks, set flat and one upon the other, to enable the builders to bring the stone cover to its appointed place. The unusually plentiful and varied artefacts are a good sampling of the chalcolithic ornaments to be found in Quercy.
