Abstract

Abstract A photoacoustic experiment is described with resonant detection of second sound in superfluid 4He in a Helmholtz cavity. Examples of highly resolved photoacoustic spectra of crystalline and amorphous samples at T = 1.65 K are shown, and a quantitative analysis of the signals is given.
