Abstract

Abstract This article articulates the process considerations underlying workshops on cross-cultural competence conducted in Hong Kong. It begins by confronting the conundrum of using Western procedures with Asian audiences and then discusses various sources of resistance to cross-cultural training. Many inventions are then suggested for transmuting this resistance into a resource and for increasing the impact of this cross-cultural training. Workshop content is briefly mentioned, and some personal reflections are offered.
