Abstract

This report examines the contribution of adult learning to peace and reconciliation in Northern Ireland. It is not a theoretical discussion but a practical attempt to find and disseminate good practice in projects funded by the Educational Guidance Service for Adults under the European Union’s Special Support Programme for Peace and Reconciliation (the Peace Programme). Whilst avoiding academic debates about the precise contribution of adult learning to peace and reconciliation (P&R), it is useful to run briefly through some of the background issues.
