Abstract

Microsoft Word - EFFORTS TO INCREASING STUDENTS PRACTICAL COMPETENCE IN THE S EFFORTS TO INCREASING STUDENTS PRACTICAL COMPETENCE IN THE SUBJECT OF THE AUTOMOTIVE ELECTRICAL TRAINING USING PEER TEACHING METHOD Khomari Wijaya NIM. 035424005 ABSTRACT This research is aim at 1) knowing the learning process in the subject of the automotive electrical training by applying peer teaching method, and 2) knowing the increasing of students’ practical skill in the subject of the automotive electrical training application of peer teaching method. The research is clasroom action research that is collaborative between the researcher and the teacher of XI TKR 2 as the research object. This research is conducted in 3 cyclus, each cyclus is starting with the stage of planning action, implementing, the actions, observation, reflection, and the new result of reflection problem. The research subjects to which the action are the students grade XI of TKR 2 SMK Canda Bhirawa Pare numbered 40 students. The data collected through observation method, diary and documentation. Data analysis was descriptive data were analysed quantitatively by step since the act of learning is implemented and developed during the learning process. The research concluded that the learning process in the subject of the autimotive electrical training using peer teaching method implemented by the teacher by relating the lessons to the real world, the teacher modelling how to identity components, detecting components, arranging lighting system and problem solving are given by teacher, students then directly practising, discussing, filling in the worksheets and presenting the result of the discussion, so that the learning process can enhance students practical skill to reach 81,25% while the succes indicator is more than 70 %. The conclusion of this research is the students practical competence can be increasing through the implementations of peer teaching method. UPAYA PENINGKAT
