Abstract

The article considers specification of a modern religious life of Russia, elucidates modern problem discourses which raise a question of representation of the believers and Christianity particularly. Secular and confessional mass media have been allocated as a source of designing of an image of religion. Results of author's research of Christianity representation are given within the framework of news telecasts of “Soyuz TV” channel. The width of presented Christianity branches, style of a statement of news plots, a thematic variety, specifics of an image of Christianity have been detected.
