Abstract

Abstract Dipole moment derivatives of the molecules CH X 3 ( XF, Cl, Br) have been obtained using the polar tensor approach and the procedure of Mayants and Averbukh. It is shown that these two methods are closely related. Effective atomic charges are used to eliminate several sign combinations for the experimentally determined dipole moment derivatives.
