Abstract

Abstract We compute the functional determinant of the laplacian acting on n-differentials ( n is a half-integer) on an arbitrary Riemann surface of genus g > 1. We first compute the propagator of the corresponding fermionic field theory and obtain the energy-momentum tensor. Then we integrate the energy-momentum tensor to obtain the functional determinant.
