Abstract

Abstract A survey of atmospheric lead particulates was carried out. The direct determination of lead in atmospheric particulates was performed by atomic absorption using non-flame atomization. This technique, recently developed in Australia, involved collection of particulate material from small volumes of air on a disc of Millipore filter inserted into a graphite sampling cup. The results of this survey show that this new technique can be used under field conditions.
