Abstract

Unidentified children visiting the Hidden Valley Guest Ranch wade in Swauk Creek. The ranch owners, Tom and Vernita Whited, taught guests how to pan for gold in the creek, which had been the site of a small gold rush around the turn of the century. Note: Geographic coordinates are approximate; accurate to within about .5 miles.
